Is NordVPN worth it in 2026? The Black Friday 2026 deal explained

By Top Shelf Picks · October 30, 2026 · Every price and term below is from nordvpn.com/pricing (US) on this date. Opinions are marked as ours.

What's live now: on October 30 NordVPN's pricing page already carried a Black Friday banner ("Get NordVPN with a next-gen antivirus"). Black Friday itself is November 27, 2026.

The prices (US, Oct 30, 2026)

Sales tax may apply. NordVPN calculates its "save X%" figures by comparing the intro monthly price with the monthly cost of the annual renewal, so the percentage is not a discount off what you'd pay next term.

What you get

All plans: the VPN on up to 10 devices at once, scam and phishing DNS protection, Dark Web Monitor and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Complete adds desktop antivirus and an ad/tracker blocker, a cross-platform password manager, 1 TB encrypted cloud storage, and more monitoring. Prime adds US identity-theft insurance and credit monitoring. Full table: NordVPN Complete vs NordPass.

Terms worth knowing

• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the then-applicable renewal price unless cancelled; NordVPN says it emails before charging plans longer than a month and may bill up to 14 days before renewal.
• Refund: request within 30 days of initial purchase via 24/7 support. Store purchases (App Store, Google Play, Amazon) are refunded by the store.
• Cancel: turn off auto-renewal in your Nord Account; you keep access until the term ends.

Is it worth it? (our opinion)

Yes, if you'll use a VPN regularly (public Wi-Fi, travel, streaming) and buy on a long intro term. Our full verdict was 4.5/5 in the NordVPN review. It's less compelling if you only need a VPN occasionally, where the monthly plan or a free option may do.

Our Black Friday plan

1. Decide Basic vs Complete (Complete if you want the password manager).
2. Compare total price ÷ total months, and write down the renewal price.
3. If today's price works for you, buying before Nov 27 is fine: the 30-day refund covers you.
4. Set a calendar reminder a month before renewal.
